After Kate Moss stepped down from her role at Topshop, company owner Sir Philip Green tried and failed to replace her with another '90s icon. Contactmusic.com reports that at last month's Cannes Film Festival, Green asked Courtney Love to design a clothing line for the chain. Love refused because she thinks Topshop is too downmarket, but she told The Evening Standard that Green isn't taking no for an answer. "He's called me four times already, saying he wants to do a diffusion line. He said, 'I'm not looking for another Kate'. Well, that's good, because I am clearly not another Kate.'" [Contactmusic]
