The Jeffrey Monteiro Sale is Conveniently Located Next to Coclico

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

We're firm believers in efficient shopping, so if you're already planning on hitting the Coclico & Friends sale in Noho, there's no harm poking your head into the Jeffrey Monteiro sale taking place right next door. The sale is offering Resort 2011 pieces at 50% to 70% off, Spring 2011 apparel for 25% off, plus summery sandals starting at $115.

Since we're still on a shoe kick, we drifted over that way first to check out the sandals are all nicely displayed on shoe boxes to the side. The heels run $115 for the low-wedge Glenda sandal, $160 for the Joelie high heel to $170 for the wide ankle-strap Piera wedge (not a ton of those left).

The Resort items offer the highest discounts and a sampling of the items include: Silk short sleeve pleated front tops for $95, abstract feather-print frocks marked down to $195 from $565, a black flippy mini-skirt for $95 and a lovely electric purple linen pleated front dress marked to $185 from $495.

The Spring items marked at 25% off are quite pretty, but are also a tad pricier. A lace-up shoulder ruffle-y frock is marked to $296 from $396, black crepe cropped trousers are $258 from $345 and a light silky violet button-front silk frock is $333 from $445. Loyal Jeffrey Monteiro customers also have the opportunity to pre-order Fall 2011 items (with home delivery included), but it'll cost ya. The pricing ranges from $285 for pants to $1475 for the fur chubby jacket.

There is a makeshift dressing room behind a folding screen and the staffers (and designers) are super helpful in giving tips and just being friendly in general. Cash and credit are accepted and everything is out on the floor. If you're already going to Coclico, it's worth a peek in. And if you forget, the nice doorman downstairs might give you a gentle reminder when you first walk into the building, too.
