Paper & String, the blog that broke the news that Stella McCartney was leaving the Meatpacking District, now reports the same story about Alexander McQueen. According to the site's informant, "the real-estate community is buzzing that McQueen is out there looking but hasn't yet found a place." Back in January, Cathy Horyn wrote that McQueen was looking to expand because the business was doing so well, so perhaps they just outgrew their Meatpacking space. If McQueen leaves, the logical place for the brand to go would be Soho, since that's where Stella's going and they're both owned by the Gucci Group.
