Seems it's not just Michelle Obama and seasoned fashionistas wearing Prabal Gurung, Proenza Schouler and Narcisso Rodriguez for fancy occasions. Apparently, the trinity of dress designers (plus other big names like Moschino and McQueen) are also the current favorites of privileged New York City teenage prom-goers this season, too. What happened to the days when Jessica McClintock was considered the epitome of prom-wear? Take for instance, Choate seniors and YSL Tribute-wearing twin sisters Caroline and Phillipa, who will both wear custom frocks costing their deep-pocketed dad $709 and $860 each. As sister Phillipa told the NYT, “I generally find what fits me and then speak to my dad." [NYT]
