Welcome to the final installment in our Comme des Garçons sale saturation coverage! An afternoon spot check revealed that the line is long but moves fairly quickly, salespeople are swift and accommodating, and most importantly, the fashion keeps going and going and going. While we were checking out some of the metallic, hologram, and fur wallets for less than $100, the selection was restocked—or rather, poured from a heaping box.
There still seems to be an equal distribution of men's and women's offerings, although sizing is tricky considering there are not many of each piece on the floor. As reported earlier, Comme des Garçons does not disappoint with many different patterns and textures for both men and women. We saw plaid, houndstooth, plastic, leather and tulle just to name a few. The street food has changed up a bit from this morning's report, and the sale is currently playing host to the TriBeCa Tacos truck and stands from hipster pizza place Roberta's and Nola offering sandwiches and iced coffee, respectively. Overall, there is still a wide, varied selection even with the high volume of people who have been moving through the sale all day. Finally, you will notice at checkout that Comme des Garçons has made clear that items purchased are final sale only, no returns or exchanges.—Alexa Gordon
