The Holy Grail of sample sales may lie within the Chanel/Hermès spectrum (and Chanel sample sales stopped long ago), but we've just heard about a shopping event that's nearly as big a deal for avant-garde aficionados. And this one is damn good. Sleep-outside-the-night-before good. Comme des Garçons is holding an out-of-the-blue event disguised as a "shopping festival" from May 6th through May 9th. Keep in mind, while they may be selling vintage items, these are in fact brand new pieces, so in fact, it's quite the opposite of a sample sale.
Details straight from the PR's mouth: "The merchandise consists of vintage stock (clothing and accessories) from all CdG collections (that includes, but is not confined to Comme des Garcons, Junya Watanabe, Tao, Homme Plus, Junya Watanabe Man, Comme des Garcons Comme des Garcons etc). I do not think that PLAY will be available, but there will be some perfume. It's difficult to say what the price range is given the volume of merchandise, but absolutely everything is 70% off." Oh, and they're restocking daily. Need we say more?
