Just in time for clog, wedge and mandal wearing weather, Italian shoe brand Ash opened its doors today on Mercer Street. Located between Broome and Grand Streets, the first US outpost offers the label's edgy, modern and relatively affordable (averaging at the $200-ish mark) women's and men's shoes, plus handbags and leather accessories. The goods are displayed amongst a Euro-sleek architectural interior of high ceilings and displays of mixed metals and wood.
The New York Ash flagship marks the brand's 14th store around the world, joining the lineup of cities like London, Paris, Barcelona and Tokyo. Locally, the shop will mix with eclectic downtown neighbors Alexander Wang, Ed Hardy and Babeland—so you can pick up some Italian heels while shopping for slouchy designer basics, questionable prints and "adult" accoutrements.
Now, what could be better than 2300 square feet of shoes and bags? Well, Racked readers will receive 10% off on all full-priced spring and summer merch until June 15th. All you need to do is stop in, pick out your purchases and mention that you read about the opening on Racked when you check out. To plan your strategy before dropping into the store, feel free to peruse the current offerings right here from your very own desk.
