Manhattan has no shortage of places to buy Benefit—perhaps you've heard of a little chain called Sephora?—but up until now, the city hasn't had a stand-alone store. That's all about to change, though, because Soho's about to get a Benefit boutique and salon. Signage starring a very Dita von Teese-ian beauty in a molten gold gown has appeared in the storefront of 454 West Broadway, on the block between Houston and Prince. The shop will Benefit cosmetics as well as services like lash application and airbrush tanning. Not only is this yet more evidence of New York's beauty boom, but it also seems like a good sign for West Broadway, which has seen more vacancies than openings since the recession began.
