The battle between Lululemon and the upcoming Athleta on the Upper West Side has yet to commence; we'll see what happens when it opens up this fall. But a plan is already in the works for the Gap's sporty shop to take up a location on the Upper East Side as well. The Shophound has the details on the brand's second store, a 4,000-square-foot location up on 86th Street and Third Avenue. Ironically, the space used to be a Haagen-Dazs, making us wonder if the landlord is trying to make up for all the damage to uptown arteries by promoting gym attendance. In any case, the new store is conveniently located to near a long-standing Gap location—meaning if you need some basic denim to compliment those yoga tops, you're in luck.
