Daphne Guinness might have overshadowed all the mannequins in the windows at Barneys with her live performance two weeks ago, but the still-life clothing display deserves some attention too. The collection, which includes labels like Chanel and Balmain as well as Alexander McQueen, comes from Guinness's own personal wardrobe, but the real showpieces are 16 items once owned by McQueen's troubled but brilliant friend Isabella Blow, who committed suicide in 2007. In 2010, Guinness purchased Blow's entire clothing archive to make sure that it wouldn't be broken apart. The Barneys windows are a tribute both to Blow and to McQueen, and you can see them in the slideshow above.
