CHELSEA—The International Contemporary Furniture Fair kicks off in 2 days, 15 hours 59 minutes, and a handful of seconds. (We know this because there's a countdown clock on their website.) Most of this wild table party is reserved for people who work in the industry, but starting Friday, a pop-up shop called Model Citizens will bring a taste of the show's forward-thinking interior design to the public. Stop by the Chelsea Art Museum between May 13 and May 15 to see work by over 100 designers, including the four highlighted in the slideshow above. [Racked Inbox]

NOLITA—Every so often, lovely little Mulberry Street salon Fox & Boy hosts a D.I.Y. night to teach hair skills for ladies. Tomorrow evening, they're doing one such event dedicated to summertime hair. Writes owner Julie Dickson, "We'll be serving wine and snacks while teaching you how to tame, tease and tousle those locks just in time for spring weddings and summer flings." The event runs 6pm to 9pm and is open to everyone; RSVP to julie@foxandboy.com if you're planning to stop by. [Racked Inbox]
