Would You Go Barefoot for TOMS One Day Without Shoes?

Today marks TOMS fourth annual "One Day Without Shoes," which asks the question: Are you willing to drop your guard, do the unthinkable, and go barefoot somewhere in New York City? The idea is simple—raise awareness for the importance of shoes by taking off your own—and if you're interested in participating, TOMS has a whole mobile app and worldwide events listing to get your started.

If kicking off your shoes in your office makes you feel a little weird, Gilt City has a swankier option for its members with a stiletto-free cocktail party at Charles Nolan. And of course, if you opt to leave your shoes on for the day, you can always participate in TOMS One for One program: Every pair you buy means a pair for a child in need.—Tiffany Yannetta
