Collabs

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The Cut has a look at pieces from Uniqlo's upcoming designer collaborations with Charlotte Ronson, Costello Tagliapietra, and Vena Cava. Ronson's contribution might be a tad pedestrian, but Costello Tagliapietra knocked it out of the park with their drapey, asymmetrical, grown-up dresses (like the one at right). As for Vena Cava, we're not sure there's any other label out there that's as good at maintaining a consistent vision across so many mass-market collabs. The designers explained, "We wanted to make pieces you could go to yoga in, and then walk around Brooklyn in." [The Cut]
