Although Missoni and Valentino were the only labels advertised, Mizhattan found a "melting pot" of high-end fashion when she stopped by the sale at 41 W. 57th Street. Dresses and accessories from Armani, John Galliano, Chloe and Prada are scattered around the room, but with these kinds of big names come big numbers on the price tag. Mizhattan was disappointed with the Valentino selection, where gowns and outerwear runs over $1500. The Missoni section is a little less painful: Most of the skirts she found ran under $400. The best deals, though, are probably for the menfolk. Neckties from designer brands run $40, or three for $100.
If you go, note that the sales associates are friendly bordering on aggressive. The sale runs through May 6, and Mizhattan reports that they'll be restocking daily.
