Last Friday afternoon, the owner of acclaimed Carroll Gardens pizzeria Lucali was stabbed on Smith Street by an acquaintance with mob ties. Since then, the local papers have reported approximately a million rumors about the attack, and sure enough a shopping angle has cropped up. According to sources in today's Post, Lucali's owner and his assailant were fighting over a woman—Annette Angeloni, the owner of Marielena Card & Gift Shop, which is located on Court Street just a block from where the stabbing took place.
