Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The sun is shining, the Brooklyn Flea has opened and spring is finally here (even if it doesn't feel like it) and you know what's next: Hester Street Fair season is almost upon us. This time around, the fair will open with a bang on May 7th, in conjunction with the first ever Lower FEAST Side Food Festival (cute!) in partnership with the LES BID and the much-anticipated big and arty New Museum's Festival of Ideas Streetfest.

A sampling from the returning and new vendors on hand to sell their hand-crafted or specially-selected offerings on opening day: Vintage from Summer Mizera, Jessica Starkweather and Portia and Manny, jewelry designs from Wink and Flip and Fancy Sexy Me, and unique bags from Belle Coste. We're crossing our fingers in hope that organizer Suchin Pak and her friends are ready to unload yet another season's worth of gently-worn designer goodies (more Isabel Marant and Alexander Wang, please).

As for sustenance at the blow-out, look out for the culinary stylings of An Choi, Fat Radish, Luke's Lobster and Macaron Parlor (just to name a few out of the thirty food vendors). The opening day market will be open from 10am to 6pm on Saturdays and is, as always, free to the public.

Which brings us to one big change to note: The Hester Street Fair as we've known it thus far, will only be open on Saturdays. On Sundays this summer, look out for special events and themed markets, as hinted by Suchin herself. Hm...that sounds very intriguing, so definitely stay tuned for more info. In the meantime, check out the full list of vendors below and mark your calendars, folks.
