Over at Rogan, the Illesteva pop-up is off to a terrific start with a one-two combo of sunglasses and eyeglasses from the popular brand. On Tuesday night, the store held a launch party for the pop-up shop with drinks by 42 Below Vodka for those who wear their sunglasses at night. The month-long flash store features at least five different designs from the eyewear brand's spring 2011 collection, most notably the Leonard, Frieda, and Howard styles.
We saw at least four dozen pairs on display at the installation, though we imagine some won't stay available for long. For spring, Illesteva has introduced bamboo and plastic frames in a variety of shapes and colors. Tortoiseshell frames are well represented in both shiny and matte tones, as well as bright neon and sparkly mineral shades. The expanded selection of lusted-after eyewear will be hosted by Rogan until the end of the month, at prices of $160 to $200. Certain styles won't be carried by the store after the pop-up ends, so be sure to check it out early.—Alexa Gordon
