Earth Day is just about here, and along with the reminder to be a better person and recycle comes a slew of eco-friendly fashion events. First up is the The GreenShows Spring Ecolux Designer Pop-Up Shop at Bloomingdale's Soho location, which will showcase ten fashion and accessories designers from April 20 through April 23. Designers on board are Samantha Pleet, Suzanne Rae, Anja Collection, Robin Brouillette, H. Fredricksson, Artists and Revolutionaries, The Battalion, STUDY NY by Tara St James, The Sway, and Sprout, all displaying their spring/summer 2011 collections and making personal appearances.
Passerbys and sidewalk rubberneckers will have lots to gaze at, as well. All three of the Bloomingdale's locations, from April 18 through April 26, will have coinciding window displays, including a couture gown by Luis Valenzuela and pieces from the other designers involved in the pop-up. Take a look at last year's festivities, which were held inside Grand Central, for an idea on what to expect.
Update: The window displays for the pop-up will actually only be featured in the Soho location.
