Dumbo's Got a Lot of Space

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Want to rent a store in Dumbo? You're in luck: The neighborhood has a 15.8% vacancy rate, with 15 of the available 125 storefronts currently on the market. Small spaces are actually in higher demand than big spaces: The hottest spot, at 20 Jay Street, is just 700 square feet, while nine of the currently vacant stores measure 3,000 square feet or more.
