Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Tadashi Shoji is not only the mastermind of choice for celebrities in search of evening wear, but he's also a go-to for real folk—those of us with a more restricted budget and perhaps a non-model figure—looking to be just as glam. During Fashion Week for the fall collections, Tadashi Shoji presented sumptuous jewel-tones (love the captivating marigold), fluttery petals and organza and abbreviated evening frocks that could double just as easily as day-time wear.

In the gallery above, we picked out five fall styles to expect. After the jump, check out five spring styles to tide you over in the meantime.

Highlights from the Tadashi Shoji spring 2011 collections:

While you're perusing the spring options on offer, also note that Tadashi Shoji and runway show guest/friend/fan Johnny Weir have teamed up to design a $25 t-shirt with all proceeds benefiting the Japan Society Red Cross.
