How much are kids these days spending on prom dresses? According to the New York Post, the answer is "wedding prices," which is vague, but numerically speaking they seem to mean about $1,500. The trend is dresses worn by celebrities—which is better than the trend of skanky—and apparently gowns worn by Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez are this year's hot sellers. Alessandra Asperti, a senior at College of Staten Island High School, said that she's been saving "since my sweet sixteen." Well, at least she's paying for it herself. [NY Post]
