Moschino Sends Its Mannequins Through the Looking Glass

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Moschino's current windows are either a commentary on the distorted way we see our bodies—or just an homage to the classic funhouse mirror. The store has set up three mannequins in spring looks, each gazing into a "mirror" at a misshapen reflection. One has freaky long legs, one is too stumpy, and one is all neck. It's not the prettiest window Moschino's ever done, but it's truly creative, and as always, the details are genius. Check out the extra-high collar on Little Miss Longneck.
