This morning, a reader struck fear into our hearts with an email noting that Isabel Marant was not only closed, but also empty. The boho French label opened on the corner of Broome and Greene almost exactly a year ago—could it really be gone so soon? Luckily, it was a false alarm. Marant closed early yesterday and removed all the clothes so that workmen can refinish the floor. It won't look too different, a salesperson assures us—they just didn't get the floor they wanted the first time around. The store should be back to business as usual tomorrow, but in the meantime, they're still ringing up sales over the phone.
