Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Dry your tears; the semiannual Barneys Warehouse Sale may have ended yesterday, but the space it inhabits?that of the regular Barneys Co-op store?will be back up and running like normal in less than a week, on Saturday, March 12. They've got to clean up the yarn from all those ruined Rodarte sweaters, don't ya know.
If you're in desperate need of another Barneys fix before this upcoming weekend, keep in mind that it's not like we're living in a retail desert. There's always the new Brooklyn Co-op a 194 Atlantic Avenue, or Soho at 116 Wooster Street, UWS at Broadway and 75th Street...and of course the flagship Barneys on Madison Avenue.
Now?time to dish. We were majorly successful in the final sale days, finding $700 Marni shoes for ourselves at $70 and a $900 John Varvatos Collection jacket for a friend at $75. What awesome deals did you score during the final markdowns?
