ONLINE—While breast cancer and heart health get a lot of attention from the fashion industry, colon cancer is usually overlooked. Colon cancer survivor Carmen Marc Valvo is trying to change that with an auction aimed at raising both awareness and funds for the Colon Cancer Alliance. TIMES SQUARE—Midtown's stores sure do love putting customers on their billboards. The latest move in participatory billboard production comes from American Eagle, which is challenging shoppers to put together spring-break–themed Polyvore sets featuring at least two AE products. When the contest ends, they'll pick four winners to be featured on American Eagle's massive Times Square billboard from March 13th through March 18th. If you want to see your work up there, though, you'd better make it good—the contest already has 10,000 entries. [Racked Inbox]
