Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Finally, another way to get your Gant fix. The nautical-inspired preppy line is opening their fourth US store in Nolita—at 25 Prince Street to be exact. WWD reports that the brand-new 1,000-square-foot space will carry not only the Gant Rugger brand, but also Gant by Michael Bastian. 25 Prince happens to sit between Mott and Elizabeth Streets, just around the corner from Cafe Habana and Gitane. If we see more guys there rocking the rugby-player-from-Connecticut-on-a-yacht look, that certainly won't be a bad thing.

Ari Hoffman, CEO for Gant USA, tells WWD that he spent over eight months searching for the perfect location to open up another shop (even checking out vacant spaces in Williamsburg), but then finally—and quite happily—settled in Nolita. "This new shop is based on the success of our Bleecker Street store and the notion of a real neighborhood shop." Hoffman said. It will open this summer in the spot previously occupied by Selima Optique, and will be feature exposed brick, recycled wood flooring, and rustic industrial anecdotes, as well as fixtures rescued from New England manufacturing plants.

With their ongoing retail expansion plans set in high gear, Gant is looking for more spaces in the Northeast. Come April, they'll be offering e-commerce initiatives on their website, just in time for preppy guys everywhere to assemble a summer wardrobe of Gant half-buttoned oxfords and flat-front chinos.
