The Helmut Lang relocation saga has had us scratching our heads like Law and Order detectives for over a month now. First, the Meatpacking shop closed without a peep, and then—as rumors began to circulate—Elle threw everyone off by claiming it would open February 9th, on the corner of Spring and Mercer, in what turned out to be the Judd Foundation building.
But now—eureka!—we found it: Not only did the new Lang spot open up on 93 Mercer Street last week, but pal Theyskens Theory settled in alongside at 93.5 Mercer. Looks like last month's joint sample sale was a successful test run; the new two-in-one shop (there's no genuine barrier between Lang and Theory—after all, have you ever heard of 93.5 Mercer?) boasts ready-to-wear and accessories from both brands in a gargantuan space. Finally, case closed!—Tiffany Yannetta
