Over at 3.1 Phillip Lim, the benefit sample sale is still going strong with a wide selection of women’s ready-to-wear, outerwear, shoes and accessories perfect for spring. The men and children’s sections are also well stocked, with prices as low as $50 for men’s bottoms and jackets starting at $150. The sale was extremely popular yesterday, but when we stopped by this afternoon, we found no line to get in and only a small line to pay. The chaos seemed to have passed and although it surely didn’t stop anyone before, there is now plenty of room to both browse and try on pieces.
In accessories and footwear, the selection is dwindling, but belt prices have been slashed to $25 and shoe prices are now just $50 for sandals, boots and heels in spring colors. The options in women’s apparel are still very diverse with leather jackets, silk blouses, and sequin dresses in Lim’s classic silhouettes that won’t cost you any more than $300. They have conveniently set up large mirrors in the corners of the showroom to help customers catch a look at themselves and to make the entire process more efficient.
Newbie sale blogger the Jetshopper has another look at what you'll find, but if you haven't been yet, don't waste too much time reading about it online. The sale ends at 6pm today.—Alexa Gordon
