Christina Lehr's new Tribeca shop might only be a few days old, but there's a wealth of retail experience behind it. Lehr has been selling her simple, chic basics at places like Steven Alan and Calypso for nine years. She's also got retail in the blood—her dad is Soho store owner Henry Lehr, and on her website she describes getting her start as a designer while living above the shop as a teen. And it doesn't hurt that her boyfriend is Jack Mazzola of the Jack’s Stir Brew coffee shops. In fact, Lehr tells the Tribeca Citizen that Mazzola helped her find the Tribeca space. He'd considered opening there years ago, and when it came back on the market, he recommended that she take it.

The new boutique is only 350 square feet, with white-painted exposed brick walls. It carries Lehr's cotton separates along with a selection of merchandise from other labels. Plus, because this is Tribeca, Lehr will soon start carrying her own line of clothes for kids.
