First, Garment District menswear boutique Nepenthes announced a one-day sample sale with all proceeds going to support victims of the disaster in Japan. Then, 3.1 Phillip Lim followed suit, promising to give earnings from this Thursday's sample sale to the Red Cross. Now, we've got a third sale in the works, which means by the official bylaws of fashion journalism that we're looking at a trend.
United Bamboo has announced a sample sale for tomorrow and Wednesday in which they'll give 100% of proceeds to tsunami relief efforts. We're waiting to hear back from them about pricing (Phillip Lim, too), but we'll keep you updated. Of course, if you'd like to help but don't want to shop, you can always donate directly to the Red Cross right here.
Update: We're told that markdowns at the United Bamboo sale will run up to 90% off. Also, some of the famous cat clothing will be available. For details, head to the Dealfeed listing.
