Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Welcome to Drunk Shopping, our feature celebrating the time-honored tradition of getting totally wasted while the sun's still shining before buying a bunch of debatably useful stuff that the sober you would be too timid or too restrained to take home. Each Friday we'll cobble together a new itinerary starting you off with a boozy Saturday or Sunday brunch before meandering through a few neighboring retailers and happy hours notable for seasonal specials, limited time availability, fantastic deals, recent openings, or new shipments.

The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and the sweet sounds of reggaeton are emanating from the open windows of cars all over the city—the nice weather is here! And, while today's oddly high temperatures probably won't be sticking around for the rest of the weekend, the sunshine shouldn't be going anywhere. You know what that means, right? Drunk Shopping.

In celebration of the weather and the first signs of spring, let's revisit the Lower East Side—the neighborhood most conducive to this, our favorite pastime. Brunch at Bondi Road sounds about right—decadent egg dishes and sky-high burgers plus a bottomless array of ultra-strong day drinkin' favorites (try a greyhound).

From brunch there are a slew of options. If you're looking for deals, your first stop should probably be the epic Foley & Corinna sample sale. Snag up to 90% off the line's party dresses and much-desired handbags. And—breaking—the sample bags just arrived today. They're sure to go fast. Elsewhere—and here's a little something guys can get into too— the hard-to-find labels stocked by International Playground are always worth a peruse—especially when an ongoing sale has prices slashed 30% to 50% off.

Meanwhile, Suite Orchard has some pretty significant seasonal discounts as well: Up to 75% off the shop's hip and cheeky collection of womenswear. Did somebody say Alexander Wang (is anyone ever not saying Alexander Wang?)

If deals aren't so much your thing this weekend, there are two brand new shops with brand new stock and they're definitely worth visiting. First up, a weekend-long pop-up for Feit footwear called Feit Made-to-Order. Peruse as-yet-unreleased men's shoes, meet the founder of the collection, even order bespoke shoes (just know they ain't cheap). Second, Anna McCraney, the first season winner of Bravo's the Fashion Show, just opened her first shop. It's called Annabelle and stocked with her breezy, print-centric collection plus bits and bobs from other lines (like those cute little Osborn oxfords everyone's all about right now).

Now, back to the main event—Drunk Shopping is just shopping without more drinks! Barramundi Bar opens for business at 6pm and has a pretty awesome happy hour until 9pm—two-for-one wells, drafts and sangria. Guys, it's nearly sangria season!
