Downtown's favorite jeweler, Pamela Love, knows it's good to have friends in high places. Her past collaborations include designing rings and things for Alice + Olivia, Yigal Azrouel, Zac Posen, Rogan Gregory, and Marchesa, and now it's time for the retail big guns: Arriving in April, Love will debut a collection of self-described "pieces I haven't had time to create before now" for Topshop. (For a quick peek at the five-part collection, check out a recent Vogue "View" mention via Love's Twitter.)
As the first U.S. collaborator with the British fashion empire, Love plans to "evoke the spirit of America" with Dreamcatcher designs, Native-American–inspired pieces, and hearts and arrows done in pewter. The designs are notably more delicate than her usual rough-and-tough work ("When have you seen me use hearts before?" Love asks Vogue) but manage to follow suit with the rest of her collections—including Spring 2011 favorites, above—in that they're all nice and big, and nothing short of eye-catching.—Tiffany Yannetta
