Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
SOHO—Who, What, Wear founders Hillary Kerr and Katherine Power will be hanging out at Scoop in Soho from 7pm to 9pm, celebrating the release of their second book/fashion guide/tongue twister, entitled What to Wear, Where!. Chat with the girls, have a few drinks, and also check out their W3 shoe collection, a collaboration that they did with JustFab.com. RSVP to EVENTS@LWPCO.com. [Racked Inbox]
SOHO—Over at Sephora on Broadway, Hello Kitty designer Yuko Yamaguchi will be in store on March 16th at 5pm, presumably until close, to sign cosmetics and accessories from the Hello Kitty line. The first 200 customers that pop in from 10am to 5pm and spend at least $35 on Hello Kitty products will receive a wristband guaranteeing you'll meet Yuko. (We can only imagine the hysteria.) But it gets better: Sephora makeup artists will be on hand to recreate signature Hello Kitty looks. Since Hello Kitty notoriously doesn't have a mouth, we're curious to see what happens in regards to lip products. [Racked Inbox]
