Rag & Bone Strikes Back Against Lady Gaga's Supreme Ads

New, 6 comments

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Last week, skater company Supreme wallpapered the Lower East Side with its new ad campaign, which features Lady Gaga shot by Terry Richardson. Supreme even covered up the Rag & Bone ads on the shop's own Elizabeth Street wall. But, as several tipsters gleefully informed us, Rag & Bone seems to have gotten its revenge. Walk by the Elizabeth Street ads now, and you'll see a black bar across Lady Gaga's eyes advertising Rag & Bone. Looks like the boutique won this round.

Update: A reader points out that in two of the images above, Lady Gaga also has Rag & Bone stickers on her t-shirt, leading Racked's forensic stickering team to believe that the guerilla advertisers hit not once, but twice. We've updated the slideshow accordingly.
