As the Upper West Side girds its loins for the second Fashion Week extravaganza at its new Lincoln Center digs, the tent construction has quietly commenced. Actually, parts of the tent structure never went down after last September, conveniently sticking around for other events like the Big Apple Circus. Today—one week before the festivities begin—busy workers are soldiering away in freezing temperatures to put up the entrance that will welcome the anointed coterie and serve as a backdrop for aspiring street style subjects, who will almost definitely spent the week lounging around the fountain area anticipating their moment of fame.
