Clinton Street resident Robert G. Lopez, who runs a line called L.E.S. Clothing Co., owns the trademark for the phrase "Lower East Side". So whenever a brand slaps the neighborhood name on its clothing, they're sort of stepping on Lopez's toes. At least, that's what Lopez is alleging in his lawsuit against J.Crew, who he's taking to court for trademark infringement. Lawyer readers, does he have a case? [Bowery Boogie]
