After news broke that Carmelo Anthony was being traded to the New York Knicks, fans bought up every single replica of Anthony's Knicks jersey in the New York City area. On the one hand, this is great news for Adidas, which was selling the shirts for $60 a pop. But it's also a major problem for the sports brand, because now they need to get more shirts on the shelves. CNBC reports that Adidas plans to have another 50,000 jerseys in stores over the next month, but they'd better act fast—if there's one thing all shopping crazes have in common, it's that they run out of steam fast.
