Duane Reade to Open Above the UWS Trader Joe's

Looks like the uptown Trader Joe's is finally getting an upstairs neighbor. Duane Reade will open yet another outpost right above the supermarket chain on 72nd Street and Broadway. The second floor space has remained empty since the completion of the corner high-rise building, but recently Duane Reade's enhanced and European-looking signage appeared in the windows. The store is slated to open this spring and will be a 24-hour location, joining the three other 24-hour Duane Reades in a five block radius.
