When you walk into Opening Ceremony in Soho these days, the first thing you see is a series of sweet chambray dresses from their Levi's collection. The line consists of four sherbet-colored pieces for men and four for women, priced at $175 to $300. It's pretty cute, but the most notable thing about it might be the ad campaign, which stars model Anais Pouliot and actor James Ransone.
To people who haven't seen The Wire, Ransone's going to come across like a mini Matt Dillon in a denim jacket. But to Wire fans, he's Ziggy Sobotka, Baltimore's saddest longshoreman, and the sight of him looking all cleaned up and—dare we say it—cool is almost more mindblowing than the time Stringer Bell was a guest star on The Office.
