Big news for Vivienne Westwood devotees—in March the Museum at FIT is debuting a retrospective of the designer's work from 1980 to 1989, a transitional era for Westwood. The exhibit will explore Westwood's ascent from cult, streetwear phenomenon to major fashion player. Each piece is drawn from the museum's permanent collection of fashion artifacts. And, fun fact: The exhibit is presented and put together in part by candidates from the school's Master of Arts degree in Fashion and Textile Studies program as part of their curriculum. Check it out March 8 through April 2.
