Now that the Barneys Warehouse Sale has been up and running for over 24 hours, let's take a look at early feedback from shoppers. On the whole, the reviews haven't been too hot. Sample Sally and the Feast both report that they were expecting better options in womenswear, although they had radically different takes on what they found. For Sally, the designer section was a let-down, but the Feast writes, "The women's ready-to-wear section is a big disappointment, but the designer goods were seriously spectacular."

Racked commenters agreed that the sale seems smaller this year, with one male shopper wondering if the recession is to blame. Many report leaving empty-handed, and one counsels, "At this point, I view the sale as only worth a quick stop-by if you're in the neighborhood; you'd be better off shopping the store when they're having clearance sales." Or stopping by towards the end, when the prices drop.
