Flash bulbs are the drug of choice during New York Fashion Week, for everyone from the models to the editors to the random passers-by outside the shows. Thus, there is much dressing for the camera, hoping that a lens focuses on the flamboyance. Each day during NYFW, we'll bring you the most obvious photog bait, as snapped by us.
For this, the final day of Fall 2011 Fashion Week, we've caught a Photog Bait classic. This man, whom we affectionately dubbed "Mr. Wacky Suit Man" many seasons ago, is a chronic case of Photog Bait. Every fashion week, without fail, Mr. Wacky Suit Man will show up in a different, self-painted suit each day. Is it fashion if you wear the exact same suit style, just decorated with a new theme?
He will pose for photos, be interviewed by journalists needing colorful sound bites, and then just stand around drinking free wine and looking bored the rest of the time.
It's true we've seen him get into many shows, and in the past he even had a female partner-in-crime whom he dressed to match, but otherwise he just quietly blends into the level of crazy that goes hand-in-hand with Fashion Week. He may be somebody?in fact we recollect reading a profile on him seasons back—but we really prefer having a nickname for him and knowing not too much else.
