Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The rumors are true: Strange-yet-convenient restaurant/shop 202 Cafe inside Chelsea Market will be closing this weekend. And yes, they are also having a giant sale to say goodbye. The kitchen closes on Friday, but you can keep shopping the sale throughout Saturday. Picks from French Connection starts as low as $20 for bandage dresses (if you can fit into them—last we checked there were only 0/2s left) to $70. Markdowns from Farhi by Nicole Farhi were a little weirder: a silk top originally $395 is now only $50, but another hanging next to it is only marked down to $160 from $230. Prices on the home goods section are a little more straightforward: everything is up to 80% off.

The reason for the sudden foreclosure, however, is a mystery. According to a staff member, "We weren't told that. We were just told we were closing." Now who's going to keep Anthropologie—and that crazy bakery—company?—Tiffany Yannetta
