We thought the Grand Central Apple Store rumor was going to be the best one of the month, but we thought wrong. Grid Properties is planning a three-story complex next to the Apollo Theater on 125th Street. The Apollo might take the top floor, but the company is still looking for retailers for the bottom two, and as Curbed points out (via DNAinfo), they seem to have one very specific brand in mind. Check out the rendering above, which includes not only the fruity logo but also a very Apple-esque spiral staircase. And are those two genius bars on the right? An Apple store in Harlem is a good idea, but an Apple store with twice the tech service and half the wait time is a truly beautiful fantasy.
