Last night, a crowd of ladies (and some guys) in red officially broke the seal on this season's New York Fashion Week, crowding into the Theater at Lincoln Center for The Heart Truth's Red Dress Collection show. The eight-year-old event, which happens every February, features celebrities dressed in scarlet to promote heart health awareness, and while it's not the edgiest or most fashion-forward show, it's often the most fun. Head to Racked National for a full write-up and photos of stars like Natasha Bedingfield, Dita Von Teese, Eva Amurri, Patti LaBelle, and Suzanne Somers wearing designers like Chris Benz, Badgley Mischka, Zac Posen, Donna Karan, and Oscar de la Renta.
Which reminds us: Over the next week, we'll be splitting NYFW coverage with our sister site. Anything about the shows themselves—recaps, photos, models tripping over their heels—will be on Racked National. Anything about how Fashion Week affects your life as a New Yorker—store openings, public events, models on the subway—will be on Racked NY. And don't forget to follow both Twitter accounts—@racked and @rackedny—for up-to-the-minute reports as we race from show to show.
