Gramercy Park Flower Shop already has three locations, but in March the mini-chain plans to open a fourth, this time in Dumbo. They'll be opening in 55 Washington Street, a warehouse conversion facing Adams, and they're taking full advantage of the extra space Brooklyn has to offer, having leased not only 1,200 square feet of retail space but also another 1,400 square feet for an office.
That's a lot of room for a flower shop, but it makes sense in wedding-centric Dumbo, where Bride- and Groomzillas might want to watch florists do their work before they commit to what will obviously be the most important plant-related decision of their entire lives. Gramercy doesn't just plan to cater to the bridal market, by the way—the store will also sell outdoor furniture and provide landscaping services for all those airy Brooklyn roof decks.
