New York City has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around our fantastic city that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

Shana Tabor is the owner of In God We Trust, the mini-chain of NYC-based shops that opened its doors in 2005, housing men's and women's clothing, jewelry, and accessories, as well as their private label collection and their latest addition called Let's Get Serious a line consisting of custom-made commitment and wedding bands. When she's looking to update one of her shops and shake up the interior design, her first stop is Luddite, an amazingly curated shop in Greenpoint that always manages to provide the necessary objects for a timely store facelift.
When looking for the perfect addition to my house or one of the stores, Luddite will always be my first stop. Luke Scrolla and Rebecca Squires are the dynamic duo that run the shop, and Luddite has the most amazing and well-curated antiques I've ever seen. I might be a little bias, considering I've know Luke since high school and I worked with Rebecca in the early years of In God We Trust, but one step in their shop and you will see for yourself how truly fantastic it really is. Luke seriously has the best eye. Luddite has the most beautiful fixtures, racks, and display cases, and once you spend sometime inside, leave nothing unturned, and I guarantee you will leave happy.
