The New Year is signalling for some sharp new shoes, and Vince Camuto has styles galore at his just-opened shop in Soho. Coming on the heels of the recently opened store in Grand Central, the new location at 532 Broadway features the VC Signature collection and stocks the brand's latest glam goods for pushing past 2011. The walls are lined with festive options, from classic party pumps in persimmon python with a gold toe cap to something in a "Precious Purple" that's covered in rhinestones.
The VC outpost is situated near the corner of Spring Street, opposite another Italian entry into the ever-changing competition for shoes and bags downtown: the Carlo Pazolini shoe-tacular across Broadway. But Vince is tutto Italiano, and he's ready for festivities to mark the year's end, with strappy platforms in sandy-toned alligator and some seriously studded numbers for kicking the blues away. Less edgy, but showy in their own way, are bright ballet flats with a laser-cut metal cap toe. If warmth is what's needed, an array of boots and booties are on hand, along with whatever else a girl might want to kiss 2011 goodbye.
