Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

UPTOWN—About a month ago, Patagonia opened two Tin Shed pop-up shops, one up the Upper West Side (at 2625 Broadway) and one on the Upper East (at 1491 Third Avenue). Now, the west side shop is offering a limited-edition tote bag to shoppers as a gift with purchase. It's also planning a roster of movie screenings over the next couple months, while its east side sibling will be hosting discussions on environmentalism. Get the full schedule of events on Patagonia NYC's Facebook page. [RackedWire]

FLATIRON DISTRICT—A reader reports that the Diane von Furstenberg sale has lowered prices. "Still a lot of awesome stuff in all sizes." [Racked Comments]
