Archetype Showroom is offering up discounted items from their curated selection of designers this week. The labels represented at the sale are Holy Tee, LNA, Veda, Surface to Air, Won Hundred, The Reformation, YMC, April 77, VBN, and Onassis. Check out the photos above for a heads up on pricing on the individual brands.
The Showroom has a relaxed, living room feel with a couch and chairs set up on the floor space and racks lining the walls. There is no formal changing room, but when we stopped by there were a few shoppers trying on pieces in the bathroom. Women's clothing takes up most of the rack space, and as per usual there is a small men's area toward the back.
Note that the Archetype sale does not have much in the way of denim, just an armoire that shelves women's denim from Surface to Air and Won Hundred. All jeans are $50. We were told a shipment of denim would be arriving later today, mostly in sizes 26-28. There is a good selection of dark wash denim to be found in skinny cuts. Men also have a few denim options in both dark and light washes.
Veda has a couple racks of their signature buttery soft leathers—skirts, pants, and jackets. Standout pieces included a navy and black suede and cotton sleeve draped front jacket for $275, about 70% off the original retail price. We also found a light-weight white leather moto jacket for the same price.
Holy Tees are all priced at $48 to $52. Find your ruched and draped pieces on this rack, in sizes XS-M. The uber-soft cottons are mostly 70% off. However, LNA will do you one better with their basic tees and tanks, all priced at $15, about 75% off retail price points.
The Reformation brings silks, sheers, and florals to the sale, but nothing in the way of outerwear. We spotted a beautiful sheer floral dress for $75 and brown silk shorts for $55. Won Hundred's racks are full of an eclectic mix of silks, wools and cottons. Sweater dresses were the main attraction at this rack. A piece to be noted is a long sleeved dress with textured detail that also comes in short sleeves in two colors, white and grey, for $90. Cotton dresses from Won Hundred are $40.
The most affordable purchases to be made at this sale are from YMC, April 77, and Onassis, with prices that range from $10 to $30. VBN also offers lower price points, theirs ranging from $10 to $40.
The showroom also had a special selection of vintage pieces plus handbags for sale by Khirma Eliazov. These pieces were individually priced according to size and included clutches, weekenders, and small cross body bags.
Overall, the Archetype Showroom delivers trendy pieces at discounted prices. If you're looking for heavy winter coats or jeans, this may not be the sale for you. The best selection was of the Veda racks with their lightweight jackets. Some of the stock will be replenished with sizes as needed, but no new styles will be put out.—Apneet Kaur
